Our speakers challenge how you may think speakers look like. This is due to the use of a non conventional audio technology which involves the use of Exciters.
This technology does not not need a convencional enclosure to generate the whole audio gamut instead DIYR speakers make use of a membrane to which exciters are mechanically connected to create sound. This approached enabled us to make them as thin and easy to build as possibile.
Exciters can be used almost everywhere. However, it is crucial to be aware of the fact that every surface sounds different. After our extensive research on different surface materials, we settled with a 4 mm thin cardboard membrane which can be easily sourced locally, or even recycled, and cut at home with the help of an inexpensive cutter.
